Light the Way for Flagship Today!

On Thursday, October 24th, The Flagship Program will celebrate Lights On Afterschool, a nationwide celebration of afterschool programs. All week we will be launching our fall campaign in support of keeping Flagship FREE for all youth.

Lights on Afterschool celebrates the key role that Flagship has in keeping Missoula’s youth safe, engaged and prepared to be successful adults. Flagship is FREE of charge to all participants and families. Flagship is unique to Missoula and with community support we have sustained this model for 23 years. Flagship provides access to activities such as art, engineering, filmmaking, sports, science, gardening, homework help, guitar, role playing games, and much more in a safe and fun learning environment. These are just a few of the over 400 afterschool and summer Flagship opportunities for youth in Missoula.

Youth in Flagship gain new skills, make friends and create a connection to school through fun and engaging afterschool activities. Through participation in Flagship, youth over time have improved self-esteem, attendance in school and grades, and social and emotional growth. Long term outcomes for youth through participation in Flagship result in making healthy choices, increased graduation rates, and a stronger community.
